Caramel 80L Oz
Gives a sweet, smooth pronounced caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. Flavor contributions: pronounced caramel, slight burnt sugar, raisiny. Use 3-15% in Amber/Red beers. Use 7-15% in Dark beers; 0-15% in Bock, Porter and Stouts. Contributing caramel sweetness and reddish to deep red hues depending on quantity used in recipe formulation, Caramel 80L aids in head retention and contributes sweetness, body and caramel flavors in finished beer.
Found in a variety of reddish to dark ales and lagers, utilize 2-4% in Porters to round out the flavor of the finished beer, offsetting the roast of darker malt such as chocolate and black patent. In Northern English Brown ales 4-6% will provide the correct amount of caramel sweetness and color.
