Weyermann CARAFOAM is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley which is especially successful when used to aid in creating better foam improvement, improved head retention and a fuller body. Suitable for all styles where these characteristics are desired.

Application Tip:

For the simple task of increasing the body, head retention and foam formation in just about any beer, specifying between 4-6 % will add the above characteristics and enhance the visual and flavor appeal of the finished beer.

For lighter hued beers such as Blond ales, Cream Ales, Munich Helles or Czech Pilsner a more generous percentage, perhaps 8 – 10% may be apportioned to the overall malt bill, providing the lacing around the rim and walls of the glass as the beverage is consumed.
