To upgrade the yeast to a liquid culture, purchase the Wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast separately. Providing an appealing Neutral quality, the strain ferments cleanly, allowing the hops and malt to shine through. (Additional yeast sold separately.)

Application Tip:

To further add hop character to the India Pale Ale, dry hop the beer for 3 days with perhaps 1 oz. Ahtanum or Simcoe or Citra or Centennial or Ahtanum or.... Or, simply add in another 1 – 2 oz. of American style IPA hop. Following the finish of fermentation, add the hops to the primary for 3 days before siphoning to secondary.

Alternatively, siphon the fermented beer to the secondary fermentor and add the hops to the beer 3 days prior to packaging. (Additional hops sold separately.)
