Designed to improve head retention in the finished beer, Carafoam enhances foam stability and overall body and mouthfeel. Typical usage rate is 5 – 10%. For beers designed to have reduced alcohol levels, the grain can constitute up to 40% of the malt bill.

For the simple task of increasing the body, head retention and foam formation in just about any beer, specifying between 4 – 6 % will add the above characteristics and enhance the visual and flavor appeal of the finished beer.
For lighter hued beers such as Blond ales, Cream Ales, Munich Helles or Czech Pilsner a more generous percentage, perhaps 8 – 10% may be apportioned to the overall malt bill, providing the lacing around the rim and walls of the glass as the beverage is consumed.
