Cara-Pils dextrine malt adds body, head retention properties and stability to the beer without influencing color or aroma. Designed to upgrade all styles of beer, including lighter hued beers, Carapils® Malt is non-fermentable and proves advantageous in balancing body and flavor of dark colored beers. Carapils® Malt may be used with or without other specialty malts and has the full glassiness of a caramel malt. Devoid of enzymes, Carapils® Malt can be steeped in hot water for extract batches or included in the mash or Partial Mash or all-grain recipes.
Low usage rates of 1-10% will achieve desired results.
