During wort production, Polysulfone Quick Disconnects (QD) allow transfer tubing to be switched swiftly from one connection to the next, allowing hot liquids to be conveyed between brewing vessels and plate chillers with minimal effort.
The ½” MPT of the QD threads into ball valves attached to brewing vessels, permitting swift connection with the male end of a QD counterpart.
Beyond connecting to ball valves, the 1/2" MPT of the QD threads into Full Couplers fastened to the inlets and outlets of plate chillers, providing the proper connecting point for transfer tubing connected to Male QD’s.
Polysulfone connectors remain cool to the touch during boiling operations and are rated from -40F – 280F (-40C – 138F). Valve springs are forged from 316 Stainless Steel and the internal mount gaskets are EPDM. Polysulfone connectors withstand pressure to 125 PSI, 8.6 Bar.
