Fermentables: 6.6 pounds of Porter Liquid Malt Extract (LME).
Specialty grains: 4 ounces of De-Bittered Black, 4 ounces of Caramel 120L, and 4 ounces of Chocolate.
Hops: 1/2 ounce of Brewer's Gold hops and 1 ounce plus 1/2 ounce packets of Northern Brewer (hops may vary due to availability).
Yeast: 1 sachet.

To upgrade the yeast to a liquid culture, purchase the Wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast separately. Providing a clean, neutral flavor profile, the strain ferments dry and crisp, allowing the malt and hop to dominate. (Additional yeast sold separately.)
Alternatively, choose the 1084 Irish Ale Yeast or the 1098 British Ale yeast as both strains ferment dark worts cleanly, enhancing the flavors and aromas of the dark malts while adding fruit notes to the finished beer.
