Formulated with a full pound of Begian Candi Sugar, the Brewer's Best Belgian Tripel is a high gravity beer with a mild and spicy hop character. Golden in color with a classic white and creamy head, the Tripel recipe is formulated with dried malt extract and specialty grains to accentuate the complexity.
Contents of the kit include: ingredients, bottle caps, priming sugar, and brewing procedures.
Fermentables: 6.6 pounds of Light Liquid Malt Extract (LME); 3 pounds of Pilsen Dried Malt Extract (DME); 1 pound of Light Candi Sugar; and 8 ounces of Maltodextrin.
Specialty grains: 4 ounces of Aromatic.
Hops: 1 ounce of Northern Brewer hops and 1/2 ounce of UK Golding (hops may vary due to availability).

To upgrade the yeast to a liquid culture, purchase the Wyeast 1214 Belgian Abbey yeast separately. Providing spicy flavor and aroma characteristics, the strain ably ferments higher gravity beers, producing bright fruitiness and clove and banana notes. (Additional yeast sold separately.)
