Constructed of heavy-duty 18 Gauge, 304-stainless steel, the BrewRite False Bottoms feature evenly spaced, 1/16 diameter holes, perforating the surface, providing for effective lautering and run-off of wort. Each size is manufactured with a conveniently placed handle and evenly spread feet, giving a full 2 1/4” of clearance from the Brew Pot bottom. Easily cleaned, the false bottom is a durable component of a brewing system built around BrewRite Pots.
During boiling operations, the false bottom catches whole hops and a portion of the trub as the wort is drained through the ball valve of an installed Kettle Conversion Kit. Simply place the false bottom in the BrewRite pot before boiling. Upon completion of cooling, open the ball valve and the whole cone hops are left on the surface of the false bottom while the wort is drained through the spigot. To perform this technique, attach a Kettle Conversion Kit to the BrewRite Pot.
