The FastFerment system is a 7.9 – Gallon conical fermentation system. Built for simplicity in operation, the system allows for primary and secondary fermentation in the same vessel. Fully mountable, the system is shipped with a wall bracket and anchors. With unique design features, the FastFerment reduces oxygen exposure by reducing transferring and racking operations. The collection ball allows home brewers to easily harvest, save and reuse yeast in future batches.
Designed for dual-purpose application, the Fast Ferment System allows brewers and winemakers to do primary and secondary fermentation in the same vessel. While saving approximately 80% of the time and labor required for producing a batch of beer or wine, the Fast Ferment system utilizes less equipment than conventional carboys & buckets, meaning less clutter and cleaning in the home brewery.
By reducing the beers contact time with yeast and sediment by approximately 99%, the Fast Ferment increases sanitary conditions during fermentation, producing the cleanest and freshest home brewed beer and wine. Due to flat bottom construction, standard buckets and carboys maintain contact between the fermented product and dying yeast and deteriorating sediment, creating the opportunity for off flavors in the finished beer, wine, mead or cider.
With the 1" ball valve separating the collection ball from the conical fermenting vessel, the Fast Ferment creates the proper environment for complete fermentation while maintaining sanitary conditions. Once fermentation is complete, simply close the ball valve, isolating the fermented beer or wine from the sediment in the collection ball. Next, easily remove the collection ball by de-coupling the threaded nut from the 1” ball valve. Following secondary fermentation the collection ball can be removed again and the finished beverage can be filtered, bottled or kegged directly from the FastFerment through a hose attached to the coupling below the 1” ball valve.
Benefits Over Traditional Conicals:
Standard Conical fermentors require the yeast to accumulate above the closed ball valve during fermentation. Following fermentation, the beer, wine, mead or cider must be separated from the yeast, creating the challenge of flushing the yeast while not losing a substantial amount of fermented product. Beyond the potential loss of beverage, the potentials for haze causing sediment and yeast to flush back into the product through pressure and turbulence is greatly enhanced. The FastFerments unique design vastly reduces the potential for back flushing and product losses.
