During installations of brewing systems, plumbing for conveying liquids occasionally requires an efficient turn in the hard piping. Stainless Steel Elbows provide the necessary versatility to maintain flow in RIMS or HERMS systems, allowing water and wort to re-circulate during mashing, lautering and cleaning operations.
For installing a bi metal Dial Thermometer to the outlet of a plate chiller, the Stainless Steel Elbow along with a Full Coupler provides an essential component for redirecting wort from the plate chiller outlet and through pipe fittings such as T’s or Crosses housing the Dial Thermometer.
The Elbow is forged from durable and inert 304 – stainless steel.
To complete certain assemblies, utilizing a 1", 1 1/2" or 2" Nipple with 1/2" Male Pipe threads on both ends enables brewers to "jumper" together various pipe fittings forged with ½” female threads on both ends.
Wrapping the threads of the male fitting of any piece of brewing hardware with Teflon tape will provide for an easier connection and complete a liquid tight seal.
